Do you know how to say "Wait a minute" in Korean? 잠시만요 [Jamsimanyo] Wait a minute 잠시: a short moment -만: only, just -요: a particle to finish a declarative sentence '잠시만요' means 'Wait a minute' and it can be used when you are asking someone to wait for a moment. As it's already a polite expression, you can use it with anyone, without worries. If you want to say it more politely and formally, you can say : 잠시만 기다려 주세요. Please wait a minute. 잠시만 기다려 주시겠어요? Could you please wait a moment? 잠깐만요 [Jamkkanmanyo] Wait a second 잠깐 also means 'short moment' but considered to be shorter than '잠시'. 잠깐만요 & 잠시만요 are basically the same  but 잠깐만요 is considered to be more casual than the other one by the native speakers.
